Heard ("the app") is operated by REPYAJAWN LLC, a New York limited liability company ("we," "us"). This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not show ads.
1. Information we collect
Account information. When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name and email address (or Apple's private relay address if you choose to hide your email).
Profile information. Your username, display name, and optional profile photo.
Content you create. Episode logs, ratings, likes, reviews, comments, lists, your Top 3, notes, and the interests you pick during setup.
Social activity. Who you follow, who follows you, follow requests, blocks, and reports you submit.
Listening data. The episodes you play and where you stopped, so you can resume later.
Search history. Your recent searches, stored on your device until you clear them.
2. How we use it
To run the app: sign you in, save your diary, and sync it across devices.
To show your public content to other users, and to show you content from people you follow.
To suggest podcasts based on the interests you choose.
To keep the community safe: review reports, remove content that breaks our Terms, and enforce blocks.
To respond when you contact us.
3. What other people can see
Public by default: your username, display name, photo, Top 3, public logs, ratings, reviews, comments, and public lists.
Private account: if you turn on Private account, only approved followers can see your activity.
Always private: private logs, private lists, and your notes. Notes are shared only with friends you choose.
4. Service providers
We use trusted providers to run the app. They process data only to provide their service to us:
Rork hosts the app's database and sign-in.
Apple and Google provide sign-in.
Apple's podcast directory provides podcast search, charts, and episode information.
Podcast audio streams directly from each podcast's own servers, which may see your IP address, as with any podcast app.
5. Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account anytime in Settings > Delete Account, which permanently removes your profile and content from Heard. You can also email us to request a copy or deletion of your data.
6. Children
Heard is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, contact us and we will delete it.
7. Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Changes
We may update this policy. If we make significant changes, we will update the effective date and let you know in the app.
